S.C. Code Ann. § 27-40-710

Termination for nonpayment of rent: landlord must give at least 5 days written notice to pay rent or vacate before filing an eviction action.

S.C. Code Ann. § 27-40-720

Termination for lease violations: 14-day notice to cure or vacate for lease violations that can be remedied.

S.C. Code Ann. § 27-40-770

Retaliatory eviction prohibited: landlord may not retaliate against tenant for reporting housing code violations or exercising legal rights.
