Applicable Statutes
Termination for nonpayment of rent: landlord must give a 5-day written notice to pay rent or vacate before filing a forcible entry and detainer action.
Termination for lease violations: landlord must give a 10-day notice to cure or vacate for lease violations that can be remedied.
Termination of periodic tenancy: at least 30 days written notice required to terminate a month-to-month tenancy.
