Applicable Statutes

N.D. Cent. Code § 33-06-01

Eviction (forcible entry and detainer): landlord must give written notice and obtain a court judgment to remove a tenant. Self-help eviction is prohibited.

N.D. Cent. Code § 47-32-01

Notice to quit for nonpayment of rent: landlord must give a 3-day written notice to pay rent or vacate before filing an eviction action.

N.D. Cent. Code § 47-16-15

Termination of periodic tenancy: requires written notice equal to the rental period (minimum 30 days for month-to-month).
