Mo. Rev. Stat. § 535.010

Unlawful detainer: landlord may file for possession when a tenant holds over after tenancy expires, fails to pay rent, or violates the lease. Notice requirements vary by basis for eviction.

Mo. Rev. Stat. § 441.060

Month-to-month tenancy: either party may terminate with at least 30 days written notice.

Mo. Rev. Stat. § 535.020

Notice to quit for nonpayment: landlord must give at least one month's written notice to quit for nonpayment before filing unlawful detainer (or shorter period if agreed in lease).
