Applicable Statutes
Noncompliance by tenant: landlord must deliver written notice specifying breach; tenant has 7 days to remedy a remediable material noncompliance.
Iowa Code § 562A.34
Termination of periodic tenancy: month-to-month tenancy may be terminated by either party with at least 30 days written notice.
Iowa Code § 562A.27A
Nonpayment of rent: landlord must give tenant 3 days written notice to pay rent or vacate before filing for eviction.
